Why doesnt everything create energy?

Fluxxlab has created a revolving door called the Revolution Door that can redistribute energy from people using it.

This is smart. We should just start designing everything to convert whatever it does into energy. The fridge charges when the door is opened, doors in houses power the lights, an exercise machine gives off power. All treadmills should do that, they should be independently powered at least...

side note: not a fan of treadmills.

another side note:
i cant decide if i would rather have a 1968 dodge charger rt or a 1967 pontiac gto.

charger.

Ford's new logo is wackattack

Topic of the day: Ford.

With all this economic biz in the air, I got to thinking about the car industry. They are hurting obviously, because no one wants a car right now.

Then I thought about ford's logo. The one we are all used to (the script handwriting) - blows. Its old fashioned and its always blue. When logos have color its tricky - BMW pulls it off cause their logo is awesome - it looks like an old propeller (because they used to make planes), Ferrari and Lamborghini have color too, but it doesn't matter because they are awesome - a bull and a horse is awesome. Especially when they are on your $200,000 ride. Ford's blue is just blue and pointless, I dont get why they dont try to get a better logo than that one - when I discovered - Oh they do have a new logo. hmmmm, lets see...

No, no, it blows too.

I mean, its better, but for someone who is built ford tough, that looks like ford cooking company or something.

Here is what the designer, Marco Savic explained...

"The logo is a unique shape that flows in and out of itself, signifying motion, grids, and roadways. The wormdark is a modified version of Max 3, with strong automotive influence in the design, contrasting the smooth lines curves with sharp angles. Meta is used as the corporate typeface due to its strong versatility and international language support."

I like the Meta typeface, not so wild about the Max 3. The cuved line in the middle making the f is just kinda too soft for me. The logo reminds me of the spanish television channel Univision's logo.

Im starting to like the old one more now....

Side note:
I would like the chevy logo alright if they would just not make it that brass color all the time.

FINAL USB YO

Here are the final orthos and renders from my usb key project. I chose Sony as my brand, and I'm happy with how they came out, but now I wish I had picked a different brand - something that had nothing to do with electronics or computers.

Side note - the fact that there are 64G flash drives out there is awesome. I know they are like 2000 bones but thats still cool.

I think I'm on an orange kick....
